About
We are a dedicated board of volunteers that want to assist in the maintenance and upkeep of climbing and hill-walking activities in the South West. The SWFECIC consists of 5 voting company directors and in the interests of full transparency and good governance the BMC is invited to nominate a non-voting Director to join the Board.
Our primary focus is on raising funds to aid procurement and the distribution of fixed equipment, for example bolts, lower offs, pegs and strops. Alongside this the SWFECIC can also supply tools and other equipment required in the installation process.
The SWFECIC, with its fundraising activities, adheres to the values of legality, openness, honesty and respectfulness in all its methods. The SWFECIC will adhere to the Fundraising Code which is administered by the Fundraising Regulator.
Fixed equipment plays a crucial role in protecting many routes and access to areas across the whole of South West. With its proximity to the coast environment, fixed equipment deteriorates over time and wherefore requires replaced.
